Tesla uses TrueTouch for infotainment control

The 17-inch touchscreen in Model S is the largest in a production vehicle to date, and is the first to integrate all functional controls into a touchscreen.
The touchscreen in Model S integrates multimedia apps and content, sound system, communication and HVAC controls, navigation, and vehicle data into one central location.
“Tesla’s Model S is a truly revolutionary vehicle, and we’re excited to have our automotive TrueTouch solution power the centerpiece of its interior,” said Hassane El-Khoury, executive vice president of the Programmable Systems Division at Cypress.
The flexible TrueTouch solution provide a choice of using touch sensors (glass or film) and LCDs from preferred partners, and can develop innovative mechanical designs ranging from flat to curved surfaces of varying thickness. Additional TrueTouch information is available at www.cypress.com/touch/.
