LONDON Zytronic has appointed Adrian Leyland as its production manager to support and ensure ongoing production and delivery during rapid sales growth for the company’s projected capacitive technology (PCT) touch sensors.
Prior to joining Zytronic (Blaydon on Tyne, England), Leyland, was at Europa Magnetics Corporation having joined the company in 1998 as production manager. He had responsibility for the operational and financial performance of two manufacturing facilities – a high volume 24/7 floppy disk facility producing 15 million disks a month, the other, a make to order dayshift CD-R printing and packing facility, producing approximately 1 million disks a month. In 2002, he became manufacturing and operations manager responsible for the operational and financial performance of production and strategy for production, engineering and quality functions.
Leyland has also held the positions of customer support section head and production line manager at Philips Components, and manufacturing engineer at TRW Transportation and Electronics Ltd.
Zytronic designs and manufactures a range of technologies for electronic display applications and its main products include touchscreen technologies, optical filters for enhanced performance and protection, and special filters to minimize electromagnetic emissions. The company can offer complex shaped glass composites for specialized applications.
