London, UK LSI Logic Storage Systems has opened a European Learning Centre at its UK offices in Bracknell to provide tailored training programmes for its partners.
Experts in all aspects of storage solutions provide the programmes, implementation and systems configuration who will train partner's sales and technical staff and will also be available to support these partners in training end-users and customers IT teams where required.
Participants can learn how to install, configure, monitor and tune a wide variety of hardware and software technologies as well as how to build storage area networks (SANs), configure Remote Volume Mirroring and trouble shooting skills. Three different server types are in place.
Of the twelve storage subsystems at the Learning Centre, half utilise LSI Logic Storage Systems' 2882 controllers and half its 5884 controllers. Six workstations enable team training sessions and Fibre Channel Switches have been provided to enable trainees to build SANs and configure Remote Volume Mirroring.
Andrew Woodgate, Technical Training Manager, EMEA at LSI Logic Storage Systems, said, “All our programmes have a strong emphasis on hands-on lab exercises at the Centre in order to provide an interactive, in-depth and effective training environment.”
