I just heard from the Executive Editor of EE Times, Susan Rambo (All Hail!), that she has 14 free copies of A Tour of C++ by Bjarne Stroustrup to give away, and she asked me to determine the names of the lucky recipients.
(Source: stroustrup.com)
On the off-chance you didn’t already know, Bjarne Stroustrup is the designer and original implementer of C++. The Tour is a quick (~180 page) tutorial overview covering all of standard C++ (language and standard library) at a moderately high level for people who already know C++ or at least are experienced programmers.
Note: I'm sorry, but I'm informed we can only ship to US Addresses (sad face).
Hmmm, this is going to be tricky. How do we decide? I know, you have until my bottom becomes ensconced in my command chair on the morning of Friday July 1, 2016, to send me a quick message saying why you think embedded developers should attend the forthcoming Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) — ESC Minneapolis September 21-22 and/or ESC Silicon Valley December 6-8.
At that time, I and my co-editor on Embedded.com, Steve Evanczuk, will peruse and ponder all of the entries and pick the ones that amuse us and/or interest us and/or most command our attention. Email your submissions to me at . I await your communications in dread anticipation…
