MUNICH, Germany Kithara Software GmbH (Berlin) offers a realtime add on to the windows operation system that supports data communication using the CAN protocols. Beyond that, the software offers a platform for the CAN message processing.
The software supports a broad range of CAN interfaces from cooperation partner Peak System (Darmstadt, Germany), including PCI-based interface cards. For the near future, a USB-to-CAN interface device is planned.
The CAN messages are buffered during transmitting and receiving. User specific real-time message filters can be implemented as well as error handling routines for certain bus situations. Listen-only mode is also possible. A Kernel tracer allows to record the CAN bus data traffic with resolution in the microsecond range for debugging purposes.
