LONDON Schaffner is to run a series of free workshops on EMC at various locations around the UK and will generally be hosted by EMC test houses or major OEM’s. The workshops will provide an update for designers on the latest revisions, implementation dates and effects of legislation and standards affecting the electronics industry. Topics covered will include the low voltage Directive (LVD), WEEE, and ROHS.
Andrew Kotas, marketing manager for Schaffner, said, “The effects of changes to existing legislation frequently go by unnoticed. We hope that we can help designers to ensure their products continue to comply with any changes or new standards that might affect them.”
Workshops are planned for June and October 2004 with more are being arranged. For an invitation to attend or to offer to host a workshop contact Andy Kotas on 0118 9770070 (email@example.com).
