Cambridge, UK XJTAG has signed a distribution agreement with Development Tools (DTL), a division of Accelerated Technology (UK), to extend sales of its XJTAG Development System into continental Europe and beyond.
The XJTAG Development System, launched in 2003, is designed to cut the cost and shorten the development cycle of electronic products and provides a solution that can test JTAG as well as non-JTAG devices.
Simon Payne, CEO at XJTAG, said, “Demand for the XJTAG system has been staggering but we need to make sure we expand our sales and support operation into continental Europe, and then later into the Americas and Asia. Development Tools has an excellent reputation in the embedded systems market and has links with major electronics OEMs and contract manufacturers across much of Europe.”
DTL has set up a dedicated team to sell and support the XJTAG Development System into its customer base, which includes a number of major customers including Matsushita, Motorola, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony.
Geoff Gibson, managing director of DTL, said, XJTAG is a very powerful and highly competitive and intuitive system which we believe will be attractive to any company designing and building circuits, particularly those using BGAs and flip chips. We have already had interest from a number of customers who were impressed by the system's capabilities and its competitive price.”
